Underground Astronomical Observatory

　The Underground Astronomical Observatory is located 270 meters southeast of the southeast corner of the Pyramid of the Sun. It is 4 meters deep and was used to observe the various turning points of the seasons by measuring the sunlight hitting an opening in the ground and a vertical monolith.

　I unexpectedly found a diorama of the observatory at the Mural Museum, and the monolith may be the original.

　The sharp obsidian stone on the bottom right is for self-sacrifice. Blood was probably offered to the sun shining through.
